There are many differences that we can point out between Greek Democracy and contemporary American Democracy. First, Greek Democracy was a direct democracy, in the sense that the population participated directly on assemblies for political decisions. On the other hand, in contemporary American Democracy uses a representative system, because we select people to represent us, the people. Furthermore, about differences about this democratic systems is that in Greek Democracy they vote only male citizens and adult men.
