As a concerned teenager in your state, I would like to bring up an issue that it slowly taking over our teenagers one day at a time. Even though some may not acknowledge it as big as all the other teenage issues but I urge you to take this issue into consideration.
Did you know that teenagers are abusing cough medicine? The two commonly abused cough medicine are Dextromethorphan (DXM) and Promethazine-codeine. Dextromethorphan can cause hallucinations, which can lead to teens to act in ways that could put others in danger of harm. Promethazine-codeine produces relaxation and euphoria that can lead teenagers to abusing it more.
Teenagers usually mix these cough medicines with soda for flavor or they combine it with another drug to experience
