There are also so many differences. In “Coyote Steals Fire” the trickster was the coyote. In the story “Master Cat” the trickster was a cat. Another difference is women's value. In “Coyote Steals Fire” women were less valued than men. I say that because when coyote and Thunder-god played dice they used animal teeth. The female teeth were smaller and counted for less value. In “Master Cat” women were valued as royalty. In “Coyote Steals Fire” the results benefit society because coyote got fire for the whole world. In “Master Cat” however only the cat and the Miller’s son benefit from the wealth. Lastly in “Coyote Steals Fire” he had to cheat in order to get what he wanted. Master Cat did not have to cheat at all to get what he wanted. Several similarities and differences were present in the tales “Coyote Steals Fire”, and “Master Cat.” Imagine if Thunder-god would have killed coyote for cheating then nobody would have gotten fire. If nobody would have gotten fire they would still be eating their food raw. If they didn't get fire they would be very cold at the villages. It sure is good coyote could get them fire
