Crappie Fishing Tactics Anyone can be a fisherman. However, for someone to catch a plentiful amount of crappie when out on the water, a fisherman must know the basics about fishing. This includes how crappies see, what colors of lures fade fastest underwater, and where crappies live to be successful. The reason a large number of people across America target crappies in the spring is that crappies are one of the cleanest freshwater fish in the world.
