Crazy Horse started as a soldier for the Sioux, and gradually became respected as a great warrior and leader. His persistency was key to his success, and also one of the reasons he was respected, as that’s what made him a great leader. He was a Sioux soldier who persisted in the face of horrible odds, and then became a tremendous leader who made an impact on society by playing a primary role to help the Sioux's military.
