The article I focused on this week was written by Donald Thomson entitled Creating Ethical Guidelines for Forensic Psychology. The reason this article came to be was due to a request from the College of Forensic Psychology for the creation of ethical guidelines for psychologists practising in the forensic domain. They felt that there was a need for theses guidelines due to ethical dilemmas arise in the practice of forensic psychology, which do not occur in other areas of psychological practice. They set up four preliminary matters. Number one, constitutes the practice of forensic psychology and who is a forensic practitioner.
