The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo is one the most famous and beautiful portrayal about the biblical story of Adam and Eve. In the painting it depicts God on the right side of the painting holding a woman, presumed to be Eve, and a man named Adam on the left side reaching out toward God with both their fingers in an attempt to reach each other. Michelangelo was born into a wealthy family, and because of this his father disapproved whenever he spoke of becoming a painter, even without the support of his family Michelangelo continued on to pursue his dream of painting. The peak of his career was when he was asked by Pope Julius II in 1508 to create a variety of paintings for the Sistine Chapel, which it is still located in present time. Michelangelo created nine paintings for the chapel with The Creation of Adam being the most popular and recognized painting. The Creation of Adam shows a message about the relationship we share with God through artistic symbolism, perception of the character.

To show his messages Michelangelo would use artistic symbolism, and in this case the hidden brain is that. After great observation, the biggest hidden message and symbol according to psychiatrist philosopher Neel Burton, M.D is that “an anatomically accurate image of the human brain was portrayed behind God suggests that Adam is not in the process of being created, but in fact, is receiving something very momentous in nature from his Creator.” (Burton, 2012), this can be interpreted as a way to show God is about to give Adam a gift, perhaps the gift of knowledge. If Michelangelo did indeed plan these messages in this painting, then he did it exceptionally well considering that technology in the 14th century was not very advanced, especially the way he tied the brain into his
