My goal is to show the characteristic elements of 4 advertisements from the magazine.

Advertisement 1 is for “POND’S” Day Cream, this is a product that is to be applied in the morning and to be left on ones skin the whole day. Characteristic elements of this advertisement are: * This product makes a promise to recipients of the advertisement, saying that: “POND’S flawless radiance™” “Adapts to your skin for Visibly Radiant Skin in just 7 days” * Using proof, in the form of a 7 day money back challenge/warranty. The advertisers claim that if one was to use this product for 7 days consecutively it would improve the appearance of one’s skin. * This advertisement makes references to a factual approach, by mentioning the product was “Formulated by POND’S Institute”, and that it is made “With GenActive™ Technology” this would lead one to think that this product is clinically tested. * At the bottom the advertisement makes references to facebook, twitter and the company’s website address, indicating that if you wanted to make contact with them you could through those channels.
