Every culture has its own beliefs as to how they customs began. We as people today think that's some cultures way of thinking about the beginning is funny or exciting.This creative myth is a perfect example of that.Iroquois support their customs of rituals and belief that the incorporated in the creative myth “The World on the Turtle’s Back”. They supported their belief of how gambling, dueling, lacrosse and dancing began and how they continue it today.
The Iroquois continued to gamble because this is what the left-handed and right handed twin had done to attempt to solve their dilemma. “They took a wooden bowl and in it they put wild plum pits...by tossing the pits in the bowl and betting how they would fall, they gambled against one another(29)”.
