The dim glow from the motel room television was just sufficient to see Sam’s ‘I-told-you-so’ smirk smeared across his face. He’d deducted barely five minutes into the episode exactly what would, or more accurately, did happen.
“Don’t you dare,” You groaned, stretching your whole body within his protective wings. Sam simply chuckled, turning away and within seconds, he was rebound to your eyes.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” mirroring his actions, you brought your hand to meet his own. Intertwining your love, you both pulled the corners of your lips towards your cheeks to frame it perfectly.

“Please, never ever doubt why I love you,” You didn’t think Sam could mean this more if he had tried, he even looked genuinely hurt by your words. “I love you because you’re you, and no other girl is worthy of compare.”
You took a breath with every inch of you intending abide by your usual nature and slip some sarcastic remark through your lips, but his own lips cut you off, his kiss gentler this time. Less urgent, more passionate. Every trace of doubt was eradicated, replaced solely by longing to be closer in every way to your shard of perfect. Sam moved with you gently, his hand caressing your blushed cheek on his path to your hair, cementing your lips to his. His free hand pulled you to him by your lower back as he twisted to be over you, not once breaking contact. Every touch sparked fireworks beneath your skin, every movement sent tingles down your spine. His hands were on either side of your body, his lips on your neck, the uncontrollable flare of senses rushing over you. Here, you forgot to hate yourself. It couldn’t remember why you thought other girls deserved Sam better than you, because all that mattered was his lips were pressed against yours for no other reason than he loved
