Marci set the bottle down and went over the speech again. This whole thing is pointless, doesn’t change anything. She knew that she couldn’t say anything to really make a difference, and that the damage was deep. Her black dress was the saddest one she could find, and it still didn’t match the somber mood of this day. Funerals are always sad, but some are bittersweet and have a great deal of hope surrounding them. Not this one, this was a black day that all light remained absent from, it was shamed. Marci cleared her throat and tried her best to read this speech. “Thank you all for letting me speak.
