“I do not like to get wet, my fur is too pretty and will look horrible if my fur gets wet” Stated Alice.
So with mournful blue eye she again said, “Could you please let me ride on your back across the river?”
Taco could not let her friend look so sad. It broke her heart so she said yes with a quick wag of her tail.
Taco promptly jumped into the water with a big splash and turned to Alice and said, “Hop on my dear friend but do not poke me with your claws or I may knock you into the water by accident.”
Alice carefully climbed onto Taco’s back and tried not to extend her claws. Everything was going good until a duck came swimming up to talk to them.

The swim was going pretty fast for Taco was a very strong swimmer. As the banks of the river on the other side grew closer and closer, Alice started to get excited and started to jump up and down. This force was making Taco who by this time was getting tired from the long swim, slow down and was also pushing her head under the water. Taco started to choke and cough which caused her whole body to jump and wiggle. Alice not realizing what was happening started to extend her claws out and grabbed on to Taco. Taco let out a painful scream and threw Alice into the water by accident. Alice who was not a very good swimmer started to freak out and scream with loud screeches. Taco realizing what she had to do quickly swam over to Alice and let her climb back onto her back and with lighting speed swam to the bank of the
