“No, not at the moment,” answered Sandy, who, out of a nervous habit, began playing with his fingers underneath the table due to the current discomfort of the conversation topic.
“Not at the moment, eh? Well, that’s alright. I think things are looking up for you. Trust me, my intuition in these kinds of situations is pre-etty strong.” The drinks arrived and Mr. Dawson downed his in record time, while Parker chose to savor. “It’s so great to see you. It’s been what, six years? Amazing, absolutely amazing.” Dawson made a slight gesture to bartender to refill his glass and the man quickly obliged. “So what are you up to, then?”
“Not much, that’s actually why I contacted you. I’m in the market for a new job an-”
