The Incipient Hero

Simon had spent his whole life looking up to the knights of his kingdom. They stood for chivalry, justice, and the power of good, they protected the kingdom and those who inhabited it. Five years ago a tragedy overtook the kingdom. A company of knights betrayed the kingdom and killed dozens of knights in the capitol, including the Great Knight commander of the Kingdom of Aeloudia. These knights were known as the ghastly guild.

“oh I better finish packing ” Simon whispers to himself, running his hands through his reddish brown curls. He looks at the door and starts collecting all his useful possessions stuffing them in an old beaten up bag.

He looked up to see the shapeshifter in the form of his sister, instead of the bloodied woman.

"Why?" he charged at her with his eyes closed. He missed but was persistent, waving his sword around until he hit the beast. He fought fiercely against the shapeshifter, until he brought it to it's knees and with a powerful scream he stabbed down upon the bears with full force. He looked down to see a horrid indescribable, horrid creature twitching with a sword through the hearts.

"Sir knight are you alright?" Simon asked as he hurried to the knights side.

"I am fine I just need to be patched up. Could you help me?" Simon nodded, kneeled down and tended to the knight.

"Sir my name is Simon Windgate. What is yours?" Simon asked trying to start a conversation.

"My name is Sir Arlo Woodfolk of Aeloudia, it's a pleasure to meet you" he groaned as Simon wrapped up his torso.
