Antigone gave her life in order to bring justice to her late brother. She acknowledge the law of land, yet she disregarded it and Creon, in order to honor her brother's death. Although Antigone didn’t fulfill her wish to give her brother a proper burial, I believe personally, that her desires were fulfilled. Her death wasn’t for nothing, her actions, as well as the help of a another character, Teiresias, changed Creon’s mind. This was an accomplishment because Creon was filled with such pride, it was deemed that his mind was fastened, as seen through his actions in during the story. As said by American professional tennis player, Arthur Ashe, “The doing is often more important than the outcome.” This can relate to Antigone’s search for justice because along her journey to bring equity to her fallen brother, she’s also an example of morality in a land ruled by corruption. The city wept for her after her death, her actions were very controversial yet, commendable. Antigone did not submit to authority and she stood strong in her beliefs. The prophet Teiresias could see the good intent in her behavior and I’m sure her steadfast disposition also influenced the city of
