The judge gave him 30 to 60 years in prison. What influenced the judge on sentencing Sandusky is because of his age, the judge felt that it didn’t make sense for him to give him life on a man that is 68 years of age. The judge stated that he didn’t want to send to prison for centuries even though the law requires him to stay longer than what he was given (Bohm & Haley, 2014).
