In The Crucible, this book takes place way back in the day. In a place called Salem where everyone there is a follower of God and have extremely strict rules (they go off into a certain group following god but are really extreme they were called Puritans). Throughout the book a group of people are prosecuted for being witches. This book is supposed to symbolize the communist in America during the 1950’s a small group of “underdogs” who truly didn’t do anything and where extremely low until a scare hit. A large amount of people work in these places but no one notices them. Their work goes unnoticed and unappreciated. Coal and Miners are a necessity to our very function of anything in the United states. From energy to getting our cars to run we use these people to get it. The jobs they do are extremely difficult, require long hours, and lots of hard labor. Rarely does anyone actually want to take up on these jobs because so. Without these jobs we would not be able to do nearly half the things we do now, and we take that for advantage no one conserves, thanks or ignoligizes the fact that these people such as the coal miners and oil workers. These groups are forgotten, no one truly knows what or how much they do. This is why they are underdogs and this is why this book fits in with the
