WASHINGTON, DC, April 19 – My fellow Americans, I am here today to clarify the events which took place within Cuba on April 17, 1961. As many of you are aware, America's relations with Cuba have become increasingly strained over the past decade due to the rise of Fidel Castro. He has made it quite clear that he is against American influence on Cuba by nationalizing industries and establishing relations with the Soviet Union. We, as a nation, decided to take charge against this nearby threat.

We gathered 1,400 Cuban exiles from the city of Miami, Florida and decided to train them for combat. To prove to the communist nations that we are not afraid to act, we began to plan a rebel invasion of the Bay of Pigs. We attempted to cover our involvement
