Cultural Diversity And Tolerance In The Disney World

We live in a world where cultural diversity and tolerance is preached but what special interest groups really want is special privileges. In the school one religion is outlawed while others are taught in the name of tolerance. I got angry at my child’s teacher who changed the Easter egg hunt at school because someone was offended. I told her that I was offended at that and she told me that my child and I could feel free to miss the event. Tolerance is not special treatment for the loud and out spoken, it is treating everyone the same no matter what makes us different.

Sitting in an Easter Church service at the Contemporary resort in Disney World this weekend it occurred to me that Disney has the right idea about cultural diversity. They have services for high holy days (not just Christian) in their ballrooms for visitors who want to celebrate. They have Christian days in their park as well as Gay Days. They have a menu

What an amazing attitude. I am a straight Christian woman that thoroughly enjoys The Night of Joy (Christian music festival) I am so grateful that Disney puts that on I would never stand in the way of the Gay pride days at Disney, I may not attend them but I wouldn’t want to stop them. As a coulter we strive for special treatment so much that we forget if we value our rights so much let’s make sure that other groups rights are protected as well.

In Georgia there is a law that is being considered that is worded so it lets bussinesses openly discriminate against gay people. That is shameful. You don’t have to agree with everyone but you can’t discriminate against them either. If I had to completely agree with the morals of everyone I worked with I would never be able to work with
