Nowadays, a lot of events are created to enhance the diversity of cultures in the US (social, religious, educational, etc.). However, there is always still a sense of cultural encapsulation. The Shared Parish stated that: "Cultural encapsulation is the lack of understanding, or ignorance, of another's cultural background and the influence this background has on one's current view of the world." On one hand, this encapsulation insulate groups for them to preserve their own cultural differences. On the other hand, this increases the intensity between the groups and is an obstacle in creating a community, especially in the US where there are so many groups living together. Professor Hoover pointed out that exposing the groups in Catholic parishes
