Culture Shock I always have wanted to travel to different countries to experience the cultures of different people found around the world. One thing I find both fascinating and discouraging is the fact that there are so many people who inhabit this earth and we know so little about each other, often to the point where we are almost afraid to interact. Mainly the thing that would have caused the most amount of culture shock within me visiting the Yanomamo would have been the fact that they were naked when I arrived. So to avoid being embarrassed in these situations is to research this culture to be aware of how Yanomano interact with people. I do believe that I would be able to handle pretty much anything else that may have been thrown at me, but being from a culture that teaches us that nudity is unwelcome and inappropriate in public settings it would have taken some getting used to.
