Cyberbullying
What is Cyberbullying? Who does it involve? How is it done? What is being done about it? In recent studies it shows that due to the increase of technology use around the world and it advancement cyberbullying is becoming a widespread problem sweeping across the world. Although this is relatively a new type of bullying issue, it can have a diret effect on future society. Cyberbullying is the act of bullying that is not physically harmful to an individual, but verbally through any source of technology and electronic devices effecting all age groups.
Cyberbullying consist of: mean text messages, emails, spreading of rumors through social networks or phone, embarrassing pictures and videos, and threatening messages. Unlike other types of bullying, cyberbullying can occur up to twenty-four hours and seven days of the week without direct contact of a person because of the use in technology. It has a longer lasting effect on a person image when a picture or rumors are being put on the internet website, being that its difficult to retrieve and erase information once its been posted.
Cyberbullying can involve anyone with a identity and can be with or without any technology and electronics. Currently with more social networks being created it is common for cyberbllying to partake in those sits for public humiliation. In work enviroments employees experience cyberbullying from other employess as well as employers through emails, whether its job related or personal it is considered bullying.
Cyberbullying is moving rapidly around the world today in all ethnic groups. Some are hit worse than others along with the age rate if the children are frightening. Cyberbullying is when a person makes negative public announcements and comment about another person on the World Wide Web to be viewed by others to make fun of. Teen sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, and many more are all part of these frequent problems happening in society today. Just recently a Caucasian teen who was a male committed suicide because long-term bullying during his childhood. His parents were left unpleasant because as parents they chose not are active as they could be in their child’s life to prevent this tragedy from occurring unexpectedly. Things of
