Cyclospora is a one celled parasite that can enter the body, when a person ingest contaminated water or food. Fresh Produce is the source in many cases of the infection. The Cyclospora causes an intestinal infection called Cyclosporiasis, it can also be found in the infected person’s feces. Food handlers are excluded from the restaurant if they have diarrhea, because they are able to transfer the parasite to food when they touch it with fingers containing feces.
