Development and learning are interconnected as children need to develop certain skills in order to learn new thing e.g. a child will learn to walk after they have learnt how to balance, learnt coordination etc.

After a child has leant how to walk, they can explore a whole range of different things, e.g. moving from one side of the room to another and can see things from a different level.
