School is a mandatory task that everyone has to do in their life, although some may go farther than others. The majority of the people that do not continue their education either stop after high school or college. The main idea for high school is supposed to prepare us for college. Question is do high schools actually succeed in completing that mission. I honestly feel that my high school did help me prepare for college through education, learning to manage time, and their expectations of the students. I attended Cypress Christian School for the majority of the time I spent in high school. Although there were a few things that I did not like about the school I did in fact learn plenty through my time there. This school is one to get used to academically; I would say that the teaching style at this school was that similar to college. The school work is difficult yet not impossible and the amount of work is that much of a college class. I along with many of my classmates had extra curricular activities. I for one had soccer, managing if not playing, National Honors Society and Drama. I had to learn how to manage my time very carefully with everything I had to do for school and to maintain the grades to stay in NHS and keep my grade point average. I remember the constant all-nighters spent studying for a history and doing math homework on our way to a game. Looking back if I was not in school or doing something for school, I was usually studying for school. However, it was not overwhelming, I just knew it had to be done, yet I do not ever remember having the stress about too much work. Cypress Christian School helped me figure out how to manage my school work while having a busy schedule which is an amazing task to learn before college
