They admired beautiful things. They also cared about education. Each mosque came with a public school and extensive libraries.
Document 8 explains the political impacts rather well. It reveals that Askia Mohammed planned to turn the Islamic empire into one large community, but failed. However, he redesigned his empire with legal and social reforms. Mohammed also appointed Islamic judges as the head of large district courts.
