In the painting there is a leg with muscular calves but also what seems to be a very malnourished foot is displayed standing on top of what looks like the upper body of a human like figure on the far right. Dali makes the foot look like it somehow alive, or at least has some form of energy left in its gait. While on the other hand, another foot is placed below the torso that looks somewhat lifeless and deformed or decomposing. Nevertheless, somehow the foot is able support the torso and the other anatomy of the figure above it on the right.
