Most of the individual art pieces at the museum were mostly created for self-expression. Nicole Poon’s art was made from thread, fabric, and gold leaf. The art piece portrays a woman with thick dark hair and dark drawn eyebrows. It also shows several colorful butterflies around her like she is a lover of nature. Nicole Poon has always been inspired by beautifully embroidered artworks, so she decided to create her own embroidered art pieces. She explained how she made the artwork, with different fabrics and butterfly cut-out of Chinese long dresses together with gold leaf. Before the invention of cameras and for individuals born in the sixteenth centuries, these kinds of art pieces help them stay aware and gather information on certain issues they have interest in. The painting portrays a man named Pontius Pilate who is looking at the beaten body of Jesus Christ presented to the individuals of Jerusalem just before he was crucified. Some individuals have no idea about this information and neither did I before going to the
