Reading has substance and importance; it’s a fundamental part of life. Reading has benefited many in multiple ways, and I choose to reap its multiple benefits for all of life. Reading should be a life long journey, not just a task you partake in to get through your educational career. As a lifelong reader, I plan to read things to broaden my social understanding and expand my knowledge. Over the next few years, I would like to read My Year with Eleanor by Noelle Hancock and Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Both of these books are influential young adult novels. They’re about life, growing up, and finding one's self, all topics someone in or fresh out of college could benefit from reading. I am a huge fan of music and I am currently subscribed to two music magazines, Alternative Press, which is based in Cleveland Ohio, and Rolling Stone. Both of these magazines catch me up on the latest music and my favorite bands, I love reading the articles and reviews about the artists and will continue to do so for years to come. Along with music, medicine and nursing have always fascinated me. I love reading and learning about what and why our bodies do what they do. I follow multiple medical journals; two of the journals I would like to read for years to come are American Journal of Public Health and American Nurse Today. Both journals give me the latest discoveries in health care and nursing. As I study to be a nurse, I find these sources very insightful and
