There many cases of diagnosed concussions in the NFL. In 2014, 202 diagnosed concussions during the preseason and the regular season (“NFL Concussion Fast Facts”). In 2014 alone there were that many cases of the most dangerous injury you can get in the NFL and with all the risks that come with getting a concussion, it is very dangerous to become a pro football, player in the NFL. Especially when the opposing players are going to try and make it SportsCenter’s top 10. They are going to want to make the big hits, so the equipped begins to become irrelevant (“Concussions: The Hidden Injury”). Players know that they will get recognized if they make big hits or big plays, so they are going to make the big plays and when they do that, people can seriously get injured. If someone were to get a concussion from a big hit and it was serious, some teams might not want to keep you or pick you up and you won't get payed. Many NFL players are willing to hide concussions in order to keep playing and keep getting payed (Fendrich).
