What is your first thought when you think about work? Most people hate it, and that is the problem in Daniel Orzozco’s “Orientation”. The story seems very jittery and fast, jumping from rule to rule giving no time to process all of the information. The entire orientation is just rules after rules on what you cannot do. The rules and the current workers seem to be the reason for the unhappiness and depression that the office seems to have. Gwendolyn Stitch has the most emotional problems throughout the workplace. She seems so happy and fun, the narrator says “every morning, she passes through all the cubicles to wish each of us a good morning” (652 Orozco). Later on we realize that even though she is nice she cries in the women’s room. She
