During the "Dark Age" Europe had many achievements, and improvements. For example, the people of Europe wrote the Magna Carta. According to Document A and C of the First Crusades packet, people were slaughter, taken hostage, and the people who were attacked were peaceful. The people had no weapons, and had no good way to protect themselves all they could do is run until they either were killed or torcher.
