If you were a greaser could you work long and hard just to provide food? That’s what Darry does to support his brothers. He works long and hard every day because he’s the only one left to support his brothers. One of the most important traits of Darry is that he’s demanding. Darry and Ponyboy have many similarities and differences in this story. To begin, Ponyboy thinks Darry is demanding all the time. On pg.50 Darry says “You keep your trap shut I’m tired of you taking up for him!” This shows how demanding Darry is towards his brothers.
