“All artists have insecurity” -Daryl Hall Cyrano De Bergerac is a play written by Edmond Rostand in 1897 that is based partly(LY) on historical facts. Being(#4) the son of a poet, Rostand attended(SV) liberal arts in Paris. When(#5) Rostand was twenty years old, he wrote his first play and continued to write plays until he died in 1918. Beginning (#4) the story with a fight between Cyrano and forbidden actor Montfleury breaks out and the next morning Cyrano meets up with Roxane at Ragueneau’s pastry shop. When(#5) Roxane tells Cyrano that she's in love with Christian, a plan is devised(SV) for Cyrano to write to Roxane pretending to be Christian. Soon the two are switching places at Roxane's balcony, both balancing on who Roxane likes more. Cyrano and Christian are sent to the front lines of war with Spain, where Christian is shot straight after reuniting with Roxane.
