Hook: I David Crockett went to the Alamo and had been a commander in the military. I also had a massive family and lived in Tennessee until the Alamo needed help. Background info (birthplace, birthdate, any relevant childhood info., relevant relationship info., etc.): I am David (Davy) Crockett and I was born in what is now Greene county Tennessee. I was born in August 17 1786 in a little cabin near nolichucky river. My father John Crockett was bankrupt and they moved to a owned property owned by a Quaker John Canady. When I was 12 my father enlisted me to Jacob Siler to help get my family out of debt. I went to school and then played hookey and joined many different trails and people to journey around until I finally went back to my father in 1802. I traveled to Texas for some excitement and went November 1 1835. 30 men and I rode to San Antonio de Bexar and I was later greeted by James Bowie who was another commander in the battle of the Alamo. By February 8 I had reached the Alamo with 30 men, the 23rd and I became surprised that extra men were garrisoned there.

Me and my men 30 minutes before battle, took out the huts in which 200-300 Mexican soldiers were stationed. The battle lasted only 90 minutes and there were thousands of Mexicans pushing through.

As the siege was commencing I told a few other men to find Finley another general. He denied support and let all of the men at the Alamo die including me and I was shot while defending one man. There is a coffin made for all of those who defended the Alamo and there was a spring made in honor of me and of my service to the United States.
