David Sedaris’ “Jesus Shaves” highlights the difficulty of explaining cultural practices to an outsider. I had experienced a similar incident when I was still residing in the Philippines.
Growing up in a Christian community has granted me adequate knowledge about God’s Word. It has given me the opportunity to share the Gospel with unbelievers that may or may not have heard the Gospel. Our church occasionally sends believers to secluded provincial areas across our country to share the Gospel, and I was one of the privileged to be sent to do this missionary work. It wasn’t easy because we had to traverse beyond sheer mountains to be able to get there. There was no cellphone coverage, Wi-Fi, or electricity in the midst of the location. Moving
