This article is primarily focused on cross-cultural training programs for increasing the success and effectiveness of personnel representing the organization abroad. This article looks at the five Ws of cross-cultural training: who needs to receive there, what the training will consist of, when the training will be given to assignees, where (environment) the training will be provided, and why it is important to conduct cross-cultural training. The article provides a concise discussion of additional training programs for personnel within an organization.
B. A statement of the problem studied.
As the global economy continues to grow organizations and becomes more competitive, there is a need to dispatch people across international borders. The question organizations must have an answer, is their cross-cultural training program designed to meet and surpass that of the competition in their perspective areas of expertise and are they training the training the right person for the job abroad?
