Throughout the Unites States history there have been a numerous amount of events that have shaken and shaped the course of Americas History. In the beginning of the 21st Century the Terrorist attacks in New York, Washington D.C, and Pennsylvania did exactly that altered our feelings and history once again. On September 20th, 2001 the President of the United States gave a powerful and strong speech to our nation and the world as well. This speech came days after the United States was terrorized and over 3000 people were killed unjustly. George W. Bush gave a powerful and controversial speech laying the blame of the terrorist attacks on Al Quaeda, a terrorist organization that operates all over the world but works mainly out of its own backyard in Afghanistan. We never thought that days later we would hear our President on tv practically declaring War on the enemies who brought so much sorrows to the American Citizens in more ways than one. At the time many thought that the War in Iraq was the just thing to do and much support over it arose from various places domestically and internationally. As the years came and went we witnessed that the War was taking way longer than anticipated and it was not until the Obama administration that we will see Osama Bin Laden captured and killed. This war will forever be remembered and linked to the terrorist attacks on the morning of September 11th, 2001. Democrats were already angered with President Bush over the controversial election in the fall 2000. Bush beat then Democratic running mate Al Gore by electoral votes even tho Gore had a substantial amount of popular votes over Bush.
