Source B supports the view that the Edwardian reformation was slow and incomplete because in 1550 (1 year after Source A), any catholic service book or catholic image was condemned. Although this is a positive move for Edward, and an advancement towards a complete reformation, the Book of Common Prayer - which Edward assigned to be the new order of service - containing the utter word of God was not highly regarded by the people and left room for “corrupt ceremonies” allowing some people to attack the prayer book and misunderstand the meaning. Many Catholics disliked that they would lose their mass from this and additionally, many puritans believed that it was too Catholic and advocated for many reforms. This caused unrest from the people who
