The Aztecs were Mesoamerican people of central Mexico in the 14th, 15th and 16th century. They were a civilization with a rich mythology and cultural heritage. Their capital was Tenochtitlan on the shore of Lake Texcoco – the site of modern-day Mexico City. But even though there were many different tribes, they all spoke Nahuatl and believed their origins began in the same legendary birthplace, Aztlan. Together, these tribes are known as the Aztecs. These Aztec people had many different jobs such as warriors, priests, farmers, metal workers, Lawmakers, pottery makers, and feather workers. The main reason they would have these jobs is for the tradesmen to advise his children in learning a trade.
