God created us the way we are, and it is not up to us on how our children should be. The argument in favor of this is that changing genes can also prevent disease, like autism or AIDS, but in many´s opinions, it is still unethical. In a poll, 83% of people polled were against changing genes for cosmetic reasons, while only 50% were against changing genes for disease prevention (Doc 4). Both are bad. God has a plan for each and every one of us. Also, we shouldn’t use it for experiments, either. One comic shows a table with a baby on it, but the baby has a fish tail and the head of a radish. Two scientists stand behind. The second scientist says, “I’m not sure why we did it, but then again, why not?” (Doc 1). That is beyond unethical. Changing genes to make “better people” is highly against nature and against the will of God. In conclusion, as a Christian, I believe that changing the human genome is wrong, no matter what the reason. Either for medical or cosmetic reasons, I think is is unethical and wrong to change the genes of a human baby. Genetic engineering is unethical in every shape and
