The Taliban. The Taliban was a major threat to girls education. They took over Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan too. When they invaded Pakistan there were death threats for speaking out, and some of them came true. Yes, people were killed for speaking out. Still people spoke out.

They had strong beliefs, and they expressed them. There were unfair civil rights and the people knew it. Girls education was a big no-no with the Taliban. They denied girls education. Absolutely not okay with them. They shot Malala for speaking out in blogs and in public. They wouldn’t let girls reach their full potential.

They closed schools for girls. These are a lot of the 32 million girls without an education. The Taliban was eventually driven out of Swat
