President Roosevelt did justified on February 19, 1942 the Executive order 9066 authorizing the evacuation of all persons who deemed as a threat to national security. In which resulted in the internment of Japanese Americans citizens to be relocated.

Roosevelt's order 9066, gave the military broad powers to ban any citizens from 50 to 60 miles wide coastal area stretching from Washington State to California. The order also authorized transporting citizens to Oregon, as well applied smaller numbers of residents of the United States.
