In early 1692, the devil paid a visit to Massachusetts. While he was there, he tricked people into doing his service, encouraging them to create chaos within the communities. The Puritans living within the town of Salem believed the devil was present after a group of young girls claimed to have been bewitched, setting off a morbid chain of events that became one of the most infamous and widely known witch hunts in history. These witch hunts lasted for over a year and resulted in the deaths of many people, and the detainment of hundreds more.
