The Declaration of Sentiments and Resolution was written to give rights to women to make them equal to men. My group selected this topic because it’s important for people to know that women and men were not always considered equal. I think The Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions is important because it closely models the declaration of independence because it gives all men right and The Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions gives all women right. The Declaration of Sentiment and Resolutions main goal was to discuss the rights of women and how to gain these rights for all. The conclusion of this convention was that the effort to secure equal rights across the nation would start by focusing on suffrage for women. The participants wrote the Seneca Falls Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions, was modeled after the Declaration of Independence.
