A name is supposed to represent how you are as a person and I didn’t think that anything about me screamed Parker. Once I got older I realized that my name truly does match me. The way I justify it is the fact that a girl having the first name of Parker is pretty rare, just like me. That’s pretty corny, but it’s the truth. When my mom was pregnant with me, she was actually told that she was going to have a boy. My name was actually going to be Jacob, or something really typical like that. When I was born, and it was brought to everyone’s attention that I was missing a vital piece of a boy’s anatomy, my dad decided to name my first name after Parker Posey, the head cheerleader on their favorite movie Dazed and Confused.
