The strategies I demonstrated today were: Effective communication and listening Describe what you did in order to demonstrate these strategies today. Make these examples as detailed as possible.

In order to demonstrate effective communication and listening today, what I did was encourage, offer support and motivation to other teammates through positive language and gestures, celebrating their successes and reassuring them through challenging moments. Body language, using positive body language to show that you are actively listening and are aware, making eye contact and nodding to acknowledge that you have understood their communications.

I thought this would help our kotahitanga because as a team we need to celebrate our successes and use positive body language towards each other A detailed example of this is when we were playing as a team and we scored a point we would then celebrate this make everyone feel like they had helped win the point that had been scored and that they were acknowledged. Another example is using positive body language, when someone archives something that they usually struggle with, we would congratulate them by saying something positive, smiling at them, thumbs up or clapping. This brought our team closer and we felt that we played together stronger and had better fun.

I believe using effective communication and listening worked in bringing unity to our team because we were able to play better as a team and enjoy ourselves a detailed example of this is when we would score a point and then do our celebration, everyone would be laughing and have a smile on our faces, this brought unity to our team by having fun. We believe that we played better and that we were able to have a more productive game with less points scored against
