1. Me: Ms. Perez, why did you become a Dental Hygienist?
Ms. Perez: Okay! So, this might actually sound weird, but when I was assisting the hygienist at my job one day, the satisfaction of scraping off calculus (tartar) from teeth was great. From then on, I kind of just enjoyed the cleaning itself. Is very satisfying.

Perez: My current job as a hygienist, I actually downloaded the app Indeed and just sent out my resume to some of the dental offices that were looking for hygienist.
Me: Anyone could use this app?
Ms. Karina: Anyone, all you do is search the job and your zip code and it shows you job listings around your area.
4. Me: Ms. Perez, what was the interview process like?
Ms. Perez: Every office is different. Some office will schedule your interview and just speak to you about the requirements of the job, what to expect, the days and just talk to you to get to know you better. Others would do that and a working interview. A working interview is when hey have you come in for a day or two and you actually work and if they like how you work then they will hire you the day of or call days later to let you know your status. In my opinion, I think working interviews are good for both the office and yourself because you get a feel of how the working environment will be and when I got my license and applied I had three working interviews and I had the power to choose which office I felt more comfortable in which was great!
