During my observation at the dental facility, I was able to watch a wide range of activities performed by dental hygienists. These included patient assessments, in which hygienists carefully assessed patients' dental health conditions, noting any areas of concern or possible problems. I saw them perform extensive tooth cleanings using various tools including scalers and polishers, ensuring that plaque and tartar were effectively eliminated. One of my favorite aspects of being a dental hygienist is the opportunity to have a direct impact on patients' oral health and general well-being through education and prevention.
