Traditionally, College campuses have been known to be predominantly white middle class men, however that trend has been changing recently. The number of non-whites enrolled in College has drastically increased over the past decades, and has ultimately led to an increase in racial tension. While racial tension on campus has been a common occurrence in colleges nationwide, I will be focusing in particular on the racial climate on DePauw University’s campus. Although comparing DePauw’s racial climate to similar schools will be beneficial, the viewpoints of students and my own observations will also provide an accurate analysis of the racial climate.
